A Trio of Precious Gems, each bag with its own story.

The triple stacked brick is versatile, so much so that it produced twins in the last entry and triplets this time, with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald emerging as part of the weave.

From two to three! An exciting revelation for me, and what luck that each color is so well represented.

A fantastic revelation when it comes to seam allowances, that if done properly, the same combination of 9 bricks (two atop, two on the sides, and three in the middle) can create a modular pattern that can repeat and be adjusted to make these three bags. The Red-Dominant Bag took the interior Triplet and like the Artemis before it made them stand Vertical, while the Blue-Dominant Bag took Apollo’s Golden Route and made them all opt for the Horizontal Angle. The Green Dominant Bag is the Perfect Mix of both, with an alternating mix of orientations. One of the features I most enjoy of these particular vessels is what happens with the runner of each, with the side pieces aligning with their interior main panels, but the bottom most pair of brick modules being the opposite orientation. This detail is something so minor, yet as a sewist, when it all aligns in this way, I am more than satisfied. The geometry checks out and the end result are a trio of bags anyone would be lucky to get their hands on.

Three is a Magic Number, As Schoolhouse Rock would say, and I am inclined to agree. With each of these bags carrying their own visual interest and a mirrored quality similar to the last set. I made the Ruby and Sapphire bags have opposite facing button and split pockets, and the Emerald Bag will feature two buttons and two splits.
