This was a project that came about due to the idea of bringing my sewing machine along with me during travel, so I would have the liberty to create a garment once I arrived at my destination. A circumstance that happens to many cosplay performers and other entertainers, and one that could very well occur if an airline loses your checked bag on the way to your final destination. Knowing this, I wanted to make a carry on case that would house the machine and all of its sundry instruments. This would be an experiment in connection points, as there are side pockets and D-Ring straps, as well as wrap-around and upper zippers. All of it produced unique challenges alongside the upcycled quilting already taking place. The end product is one capable of easily holding my Singer Machine along with an additional few zipper bags for thread, needles, clips, and other sewing essentials.
