A pattern may seem daunting, but to a curious cat, they are all equally comfortable (to lay on)

I have been planning to release a second edition to the pattern lookbook, the issue is that I have to reproduce patterns I wasn’t confident in.

Case in point: The Diagonal Basketweave, a pattern I hadn’t attempted in nearly a year. I knew it was fairly straightforward as a methodology, (rotate a regular basketweave by 90, easy peasy) though I recalled the math didn’t really check out on my first attempt. Surprisingly, the thing about repetiton and crafting your skillset is that you begin to think differently, as long as it fit the square, the pattern would work, so I went out on a limb and managed to get thr right amount of slack and brick together to reproduce the pattern and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Plus is sold at the following market the next day, so I may just know what I am doing.
