One of the most satisfying patterns to make, a Herringbone, alternating orientation from corner to corner.
The more iterations I managed to make, the better the end product became, with intentional color and material choices that let the eye roam.
These explorations are where the Fa(Brick) line began to truly take shape, with an intentionality in placement and orientation that the previous projects did not have. This was where I began to standardize both the size of the strips (each brick being 3.5 in by 7.5 in) and the composition of each panel. There are three variants, Each receiving a few features that would carry on to future iterations, the implementation of buttons for the side pockets, the installation of the D-Rings on each side to change the handling of the bag, and two main panel hand straps. The orientation of the pattern changes the direction the eye travels.
