Partners: Brian Silva and Arjo Mukherjee

Instructors: Sharon Haar and Adam Smith | Spring 2023

This Project, though it was group based to capture the “Collective” Aspect of Housing, was doled out in our case to have Brian work on Site, Arjo working on the Commercial Building and Myself working on the Models and Structure of the Residential Unit. This allowed me to gain a better understanding of how houses truly come together. I was lucky to have Adam Smith of Synecdoche critique the work and ensure that we were maintaining some realism within the build.

The Perspective Section was one of my favorite drawings to do, the amount of intricate detail and attention to lineweights was insane. It reignited a passion for detail work I hadn’t felt since the Brazil studio in Undergrad.

This was the first project I used the Laser Cutting Table on, and had I known about it sooner, my entire undergrad portfolio and trajectory may have been different. The detail that was carved into both styles of building was impressive and allowed for all three models to have a unique look and feel to them.
